IN ORDER TO EARN THE FARM DOG CERTIFICATION (FDC) TITLE, EACH DOG MUST TAKE THE TEST TWICE UNDER TWO DIFFERENT JUDGES. HOWEVER, YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO ENTER BOTH TESTS.
DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER The Farm Dog Certification Test (FDC) is open to all dogs at least nine (9) months of age that are individually registered with the AKC, recorded in the FSS program, dogs with PAL numbers, or dogs enrolled in the AKC Canine Partners Program. Bitches in season are permitted to run, but will be moved to the end of the running order. Please notify the event secretary if your bitch is in season.
Dogs with physical challenges (including amputees) are eligible to enter provided, in the opinion of the judge, they display no signs of physical discomfort and can safely complete the test.
ENTRY FEES
Pre-Entry received by closing date (Oct 2, 2025) $30.00 per dog per test. Late entries & Day of Event (until limit is met) $35.00 per dog per test
Make checks payable to SCKC (returned check fee is $35). All entries must be submitted on official AKC entry forms, one dog per entry form. Photocopies of entries without the AKC agreement attached are NOT acceptable. Unsigned, incomplete, or illegible entries are NOT acceptable and cannot be entered in the trial. Any changes, additions, corrections or cancellations of entries must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Entries sent via FedEx, UPS, or Express Mail must have signature waived. Phone and Fax entries will NOT be accepted.

Handler’s Briefing/Walk Thru to be held at 8:45am No dogs will be allowed in the walk thru.
NOTICES TO EXHIBITORS
o The Trial Site will be available to exhibitors starting at 7:30 a.m. Sunday November 2, 2025.
o These tests will be held outdoors and held rain or shine.
o There are no placements for dogs competing in the Farm Dog Certified Test, only a Pass or Fail.
o A flat collar and a 4 or 6 ft leash is required.
o A separate entry blank must be completed for each dog entered.
o By entering these tests, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this event, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all requirements safely.
o Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or
barred from competition by action of the Event Committee.
o It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made.
o Owners or their Agents are solely responsible for the presence of their dog(s) at the Test arena. Judges are not required to wait for dogs.
o By entering this event, exhibitors certify that they have read and understand and agree to the Agreement that is a part of the entry form. The Club assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors. Neither the Event Committee nor the Club will be responsible for the loss or damage to any dog on the ground, whether, as a result of an accident, or any other cause. It is clearly understood that every dog entered in the event is in the care, custody and control of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the premises. Exhibitors, owners, and agents assume all responsibility for dogs and equipment on the site. (See Agreement on entry form.)
o Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians’ recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.
o No entry fee will be refunded if the event cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, extreme weather conditions, or any other cause beyond the control of the event committee
o No entry fee will be refunded in the case of duplicate entries or any other cause beyond the control of the club after the closing of entries.
o Please bring your own chairs, water for yourself and your dog.
o All dogs must always be on leash and/or crated except when being judged.
o No telephone or fax payments will be accepted.
o Retractable leads are not permitted on the test site.
o There is livestock on the event grounds. Any dog found harassing the livestock will be excused
from the trial with no refund. There will be no exceptions.
o No alcoholic beverages are allowed at the event site.
o Please respect the grounds and clean up after yourself and your dogs to maintain the premises in a clean and tidy condition

I (we) acknowledge that the "rules applying to registration and dog shows" and the "rules for Farm Dog Test" has been made available to me(us), and that I(we) agree that the club holding this Farm dog test has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and the holding of the Farm dog test and of the opportunity to have the dog tested or judged, I (we) agree to hold this club, it's members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents, or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the Farm dog test premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim for damage or injury to the dog. Whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person , or any other causes.
I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expenses (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom sustained by any person or persons, including myself(ourselves) or on account of damages to property, arising out of or in consequence of my(our) participation in this Ranch dog test, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other persons.
I (we) will pay for any livestock injuries or replacement value in the event of death of any livestock by my(our) dog. In case of injury to any stock caused by the dog entered, I(we) will assume total responsibility for any damage. I(we) agree to pay the full market value (200.00) of the injured animal in case of serious injury, or the veterinarian bill if the injury is slight.
